He, along with Health Commissioner Madam Shahmeena, and OSD Dr. Atul Trivedi, from Gandhinagar, appraised the status and preparations for COVID19. Oxygen PSA Plants and Liquid Oxygen tanks, Ventilators, Available beds, Medicines were reviewed by them. The Health Minister also visited the Old Hospital building as well as the New Kindney SSH Building. He deliberated upon the need and possibilities of New Hospital building construction. Looking at the Hospital workload, the need for Manpower, especially Class IV, like stretcher bearers, cleaners and helpers was also identified. He advised on increasing the benefit of PMJAY and such Government Health schemes. College and Hospital officials expressed their needs for development and patient ease. He visited a common washroom, which was used by patients. He was satisfied by the cleanliness there. On a partisan's demand, he visited the waiting area near Post mortem room, where he suggested to improve cleanliness and to replace broken benches. Overall, the visit was very helpful. He was actively listening to our issues, and was suggesting practical and constructive solutions. We thank him and the state team for their inputs. Such visits give enthusiasm and boost the spirits of Health personnel at ground level.
