Operations being performed in the Department of Plastic Surgery

1. Congenital anomalies

  • Cleft lip
  • Cleft palate
  • Hypospadias
  • Hand anomalies like Syndactyly, Acrosyndactyly etc.
  • Microtia
  • Superficial haemangiomas
  • Dermoid cyst
  • Congenital facial clefts

2.Burns and Post burns sequel:

  • Post burns large raw areas requiring skin grafting or flap procedure for skin coverage
  • Post burns contractures involving limbs, neck, face etc.
  • Post burns scarring and Hypertrophic scarring

3.Reconstructive procedures

  • Reconstructive operations like Delto-pectoral flap, Pectoralis major myocutaneous flap coverage for post ablation defect after cancer surgery or trauma
  • Skin coverage for exposed tendons, muscles, nerves or bones following trauma
  • Primary or secondary repair of tendons after trauma

4.Cosmetic surgery operations

  • Congenital Absence of Penis: A rare congenital Genitourinary defect- A case report with review of literature.
  • Dumbbell penis: A complication following Circumcision- A case report.
  • Use of Homografts and Autografts in extensive Burns patients: A longitudinal study
