About the PGDPHM programmePost Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM) is conducted by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), through Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs), since the year 2008. This course is supported by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under National Health Mission (NHM), to address the gap in Public Health Managerial capacity among health professionals in the country.Recently announced National Health Policy (NHP) 2017 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India (GoI) has emphasised on the need for developing Public Health Management Cadre in all States/ UTs.(http://www.mohfw.nic.in/index1.php?lang=1&level=1&sublinkid=6471&lid=4270). This would require a sizeable number of trained public health professionals across India in the near future.
Who can apply for this programme ?Applicants should have a graduate / post graduate degree in medicine, AYUSH, nursing, pharmacy, health sciences, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, natural/ life sciences, management, social sciences, social work, economics, statistics or any equivalent qualification.
Locations where PGDPHM programme is available ?Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) situated at Delhi NCR, Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Hyderabad (Telangana) and Bhubaneshwar (Odisha).
